THE YOGA STUDIO is located on the site of the old Cistercian Monastery at The Masters House, Abbey Yard. The studio is the only full-time Yoga Studio in the Newry and Mourne area and has its own parking at the rear of the building.
The studio has brought together a dedicated team of highly qualified tutors enabling us to offer a wide range of yoga styles and classes as well as Yoga for Pregnancy, Pilates, Tai Chi Chuan and other disciplines.
PROFESSIONAL YOGA TRAINING with recognised qualifications
The Yoga Studio Foundation Course, Profession Yoga Instructor's Course and Yoga For Pregnancy Course are all now widely recognised as the most comprehensive and individually tailored courses available in Ireland. The Yoga Studio accepts only a small number of students at any one time and many of our graduates work in Leisure Centres, Education and the Community as well offering classes in Parish Centres, Town Halls and other places.
The New Year will see the introduction of Remedial Yoga courses for practitioners who wish to expand their knowledge and understanding of using yoga to assist people with Back Problems, Respiratory Conditions and Hypertension
PILATES:
The Studio is extremely fortunate to offer classes with Majella McCartan. Majella is herself a highly trained personal trainer and Pilates specialist and also manages the training of professional trainers and pilates instructors. The Beginners class resumes on Thursday 12 January and the ongoing General Class is on Tuesdays, both at 7.30pm. For more details go to the Pilates Page.
